The restoration of high quality antique arms has been a regular part of my business for 30 years. My formal training came from working with the late John Bivins, Jr. This renowned author and superb craftsman passed on to me his insistence on the absolute respect for antiques as documents of history as well as cherished and valued objects.
All projects are approached with the highest regard for ethical standards and the conservation of original material and surfaces. I am highly experienced with all aspects of restoration: stock work, metal work, and finishing. Each project is documented with photography as part of a thorough restoration report detailing condition as received and all work completed, thus safeguarding the future authenticity of the piece and your investment. My experience includes extensive work with American longrifles as well as high quality continental and British pieces.
